Dear Friends and Well-Wishers to lovely Lea De Mae,

I have received two messages from Chris  Danneffel (extracts below).

As you will see, this does not make easy reading. I despair that I cannot do more myself but I have written again to "Private" as you know, who could help  - but have myself received no response as yet. I do not know whether "Private" has been in contact with Oldrich Widman in Prague who set up the medical fund for Lea De Mae.

I have also contacted "HUSTLER" in the USA, the largest company in the industry and I have received a supportive message in this effort to approach "Hustler" from Dennis Black Magic (The Belgian "King of Porn") who recently visited Larry Flynt the President of Hustler in America and also by coincidence, Larry Flynt and his daughter were I believe over here in the UK for the opening of their first ever Hustler-Hollywood Store in Birmingham in the Midlands.  I have asked them to help try to save Lea's life.

Hi Vic,

I'm in a hurry and I still have problems with internet connection. I've seen Lea and her sister several times now. They received your money, and are very thankful. We will put a thank you note from Lea on Pics & Models, as soon as it is translated from Czech to English language.

Lea's best friend Monica Sweetheart was there, too. She's really taking care of here like you wish a friend would do! I haven't known her before, she has a wonderful personality.

Lea doesn't smoke and doesn't drink anymore. Friends who smoke, go outside. She was at home, today she's gone to hospital again. On wednesday she comes home again. Her movements are slow and her back aches. Sometimes she fights against her tears, but she's strong. I feel so sorry for her, but she has a couple of nice friends here who don't forget her and stand at her side even in those sad days.

So far, I have to end here - take care
Chris

Hi Vic,

today is Sunday, 31 Oct. 2004 - I do not know when this eMail will be sent out. For several days now I had now opportunity to connect with my eMail accounts. This only works in the bureau of a friend of mine. But since last thursday it was holiday here in Czech Republic, he as many others in the country took advantage of that for a looong weekend. Other opportunities like connection my notebook to the internet via mobile phone failed.

About every two days I visit Andrea and her sister & friends. It's always a 2 1/2 hours bike ride to get there. They are located at the extremely other side of Prague than I. Since she is out of hospital she's not feeling better. She mainly sleeps. She has a lot of pain in her back and in her brain. The other night they had to call the doctor. She's not able to have normal conversation with the friends around her. I feel extremely sad because of her situation. I've contacted many doctors in Germany in order to find a solution against her severe pain troubles. To me right now this is priority No.1

On the 4th of November a new MRI will be made. We hope that at least this will give us positive informations.

If I have time, I will create a little page on Pics & Models only for Lea De Mae, to let her fans and friends know about her current situation. There we maybe also want to publish a list of the names of all the people who have spent money so far.

Sorry that currently I don't have better informations for you. But please don't forget your own health! She needs people like you.

Warm regards from Prague
Chris

Larry Flynt & "HUSTLER" to the rescue!

Dear Friends,

I have just seen Juhani's posting earlier tonight and I was overjoyed to read that a positive response had just arrived from Mark Hamilton, Vice-President of "Hustler" in the USA who I have been writing to for the last several days ever since I received a recommendation from Dennis of Black Magic Media in Belgium, (but coming soon to London as well). Dennis is "The King of Porn" in Belgium and is one of Rita Faltoyano and Katsumi's favourite producers "54 - The Legend" ("Nachtclub D'Amour") "The Show Must Go On" etc.

I have immediately passed on this good news to all Lea's well-wishers, fans, supporters and various stars and movie celebrities that I know of, by the following e-mail,....

Thank you very much Dennis. Your "magic" made it possible for me to directly contact Mark Hamilton and you so kindly prepared the way for me.

You are now part of this historic event  - when compassion and caring took precedence over "the love for money"  -  the root of all evil!

You stuck your neck out for Lea, you ignored the doubting-Thomas type people and we have now succeeded in this initial step to try to save Lea's life.

God bless you Dennis  -  let us now hope that with Larry Flynt's kind and wonderful help, Lea can get the extra medical treatment she needs to try to save her life.

As for "Private", I am at a loss to understand their silence on this matter of life and death.

They will be seen in a very bad light I fear by the public at large and other many artists from the East European countries, whereas "Hustler" admirable and kind deed will never be forgotten.

As I wrote to Mark Hamilton, Vice-President of "Hustler", changes are needed in this adult movie world, I think. I hope to contact Jenna Jameson and Jill Kelly in America with some suggestions.

I was told a few times very recently that I should not expect or seek any compassion or humanity in this industry and it was dog eat dog  - I refused to accept this notion and now, Larry Flynt has shown the world, that things are no longer quite the same as they were before yesterday, the day it all changed - the 1st November.

So, thanks to yourself, Mark Hamilton and Larry Flynt, we have a new saying now,...
"Remember, remember -  the first of November"

" Let's All Hope and Pray For Lovely Lea De Mae Specially Today !" After the latest chemo and radiation treatments which Lea De Mae received at the Prague Hospital, she was sent home to rest for a short duration.

Unfortunately, Lea's home stay's have not been very easy lately, as she has been suffering from severe headaches and backaches, and she has not been able to rest properly because of the extreme pain ?

Just this week there was no other choice for her, but to go back to the Hospital to seek extra help, as all her aches had become absolutely unbearable, lovely Lea had her very important "MRI"  test scheduled for Thursday Nov.04. but..after doctors examined her..they decided to re-schedule her MRI test..for one day earlier !

Let's all hope and pray quietly within our hearts, that her test results are all excellent, and she is on her way to full recovery !!!

Best Wishes Always..             Juhani.Esq

Dear Friends,

There is more update news on Chris Danneffel's Site and I have set this out below as well. I have also been kindly sent some information by the Samantha Dickson Research Trust in Hants, UK about some trials that have been going on in London using "Clomipramine" which appears to have been of help, but I am not a medical person, so I have just sent all the details onto Prague c/o Chris, Oldrich and Silvia.

This latest news from Chris's Site accessed via www.pics-and-models.com  -  it does not make easy reading but we must try to support Lea's doctors and family in this battle to recover Lea's health.

As always, our thoughts are with Lea willing her on through this cruel and senseless illness, which presently has taken a hold on her gentle person. Somehow, we want to break its hold and fight back hard. It is a lot to ask this young woman or anyone to endure of course and it is heartbreaking for us to have to stand by and see this.

But at least in some small way, I think maybe we have made a little difference so that brave Lea will be aware of our admiration and support for her in her continuing ordeal and maybe this will give her added strength for any future treatments she may yet have to endure in this struggle to loosen the grip and shake off this cursed illness.

London, UK. Wedesday 3rd November, 2004.

From CHRIS's SITE today as below,...

Lea De Mae - 09/2003

Lea De Mae

Her tragic illness - the latest news

Updated:
Wednesday, 3 November 2004

This spot of webspace has been supposed to be the first official private website of Lea De Mae. Negotiations regarding this issue were made in July 2004.

Shortly before the first shoots for this site were supposed to start, Lea De Mae had to go to the hospital unexpectedly because of head aches and problems with her left eye and movements on the left side of her body. After her friends urged the doctors to make a CT and MRI, they indeed found a tumour close to her basal ganglias. Immediately a brain surgery has been done. As many specialists told me who saw the results, this operation was performed amazingly good. This happened in the middle of August.

4 weeks later a radio therapy started, another 2 weeks later a chemo therapy (Temodal) followed. Both have been finished a few days ago. Another MRI will be made on 4th November 2004.

Thanks to Lea De Mae's manager Oldrich Widman from Dream Entertainment a Lea De Mae fund was founded with kind support of famous Silvia Saint. Ever since then many people around the world have spent money to support lovely Lea De Mae.

One week ago, when she was at home for the weekend, Lea De Mae was in a relatively good mood and constitution. She spent two days at home together with her closest friends, among them her sister, who mainly takes care for her, and Monica Sweetheart, with whom she often worked together and with whom she liked to party. After that weekend she went back to hospital for another circle of radiation therapy. Since last Wednesday she's at home. But she doesn't feel well right now. She suffers from heavy pains in her back and in her head. Last night the emergency doctor had to be called. We're currently looking for a proper pain therapy, but according to Lucie (Lea De Mae's sister), the Czech doctors don't seem to be able to deal with that.

In the meantime Lea De Mae also suffers from the fatigue syndrome, she stays in bed all day and doesn't want to see anybody, not even her closest friends.

As Pics-and-Models is located in Germany, we were able to contact many clinics and specialists mainly in Germany but also in Switzerland, Great Britain, USA and Australia. The problem is the unfavorable location of the tumor. Because it lays close to very important parts of her brain, it could not be cut out completely. What's even worse: this kind of cancer is able to keep growing. Another MRI in 4 weeks will reveal the current situation and also whether she might need a second therapy or not. If yes, she maybe can participate in a clinical trial, which would be free in Germany. However, if she doesn't meet the enclose criterias, we have to look for a solution wich could be very expensive.

Since we don't know what the future has in store for us, we think that it was a good idea of Olda Widman & Silvie Saint to raise a fund for Lea De Mae. We want to publish a list of all donators as well as the current amount of money that has come in so far soon.

A "thank you" note of Lea De Mae to all of her fans, friends and helpers all over the world is in the process of being translated and will be published here, too.

We'll keep you updated on everything what happens regarding the situation of adorable Lea De Mae.

Chris Danneffel - Prague, Czech Republic 2nd November 2004

As I'm writing these lines, my eyes are filled with tears. It's one of the most depressive moments when something very sad happens that you cannot influence. Yesterday night the emergency doctor has to be called again. Lea's pains were so extreme that the first two doses of medicine showed no effect. She didn't sleep at all, but went from one room to the other, not knowing how to get rid of her head aches.

Today her sister Lucie brought her back into hospital where Lea didn't want to go, because it's old and ugly and the old patients around her are dying. Lea De Mae and her sister arrived at 2 pm, but they had to wait 2 hours(!) until a doctor finally came to take care of her. Because of this dramatic situation a new MRI will be made already tomorrow. I will go there too, take the results as soon as they are available and send it to all the specialists I've contacted so far.

I know I'm not alone; I know that many fans and friends, colleagues, producers and photographers would like to take and spread Lea's pain and illness all over ourselves. Thus, a little pain for all of us would be an excellent relief for Lea De Mae. But she, who brought so much joy into the live of so many people, carries her heavy weight solely. We are standing beside her, helplessly and not being able to ease her pain - with tears in our eyes.

Chris Danneffel - Prague, Czech Republic 2nd/3rd November 2004

Since Lucie is very much involved in taking care of her sister, feel free to contact me in case of pressing matters. I'll forward messages to her as soon as possible.

Latest update from Prague from Lea's friend Chris Danneffel:  www.pics-and-models.com

Yesterday I visited Lea in the hospital. When I came into the room and stepped to her bed. As if she had to excuse herself, she said: "I thought I would be better now", and with a shrug of her shoulders she added: "But I'm not." They way she uttered these words revealed to me kind of a of stoic resignation - bent of course, but not broken. Maybe she takes advantage of the fact, that she was a top perfomance athlete (olympic high diver) before.

Earlier I've mentioned the old and ugly hospital Lea De Mae has to stay in. So I took my camera with me yesterday, just to give you an impression of it. Lucie and her friend Iva have been visiting Lea like each day. They brought her something to eat: bread with bacon and eggs and mayonnaise, as well as some curd pastry. After about 5 weeks she's fed up with the hospital meals as we'd be too in her place, since it's always the same: spaghetti or potatoes with always the same sausage. And one can easily imagine that the food tastes like the hospital looks like:

Lea De Mae - Spital 01
Lea De Mae - Spital 03

At least the doctors finally found the right mixture of medicaments against her pain. "Well, they are doing something", she says, "but it always takes so long". The CT which the doctors wanted to do today couldn't be done. They didn't know that an MRI is planned for tomorrow. The reason behind the lack of information is the fact that Lea's brain cancer is treated in a special hospital in Prague, but that she has to lay in another because there are not enough beds.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 4th November 2004

Yesterday, Lucie and Iva have been visiting Lea De Mae in the hospital all day. In the evening they got handed out her new MRI results. Immediately after that she called me and we all met at my place near to the old and famous Charles Bridge. We are not familiar with these kind of photos, so we can't say whether they show something good or something bad. But her right hemisphere really looks very much like a messy children's room.

I stayed up all night to convert the files, to enhance their quality and to send them to all the specialists I'm in contact with via a very slow internet connection. Lucie on her part does the same. Now we have to sit and wait what the doctors will tell us. Also today Lea's doctors will let us know what they've found out on the basis of the MRI.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 5th November 2004

Since Lucie is very much involved in taking care of her sister, feel free to contact me in case of pressing matters. I'll forward all messages to her as soon as possible.

This is the latest news received from Lea's loyal friend from Germany, Chris Danneffel. It is the most difficult news we have so far had to read. Nothing has been hidden. (The abbreviations were put in by me as I sent a copy of this to a UK Medical Research Trust for information and the founder (Angela Dickson) would not know about this entertainment area). I hope that some divine hand will guide Lucie and Chris in how best to get more help to Lea while there is still time.

.................I've been in the hospital yesterday and Lucie told me that Hustler finally could get in touch with her. They received her telephone number from Monica S., whom they incidentally know. For similar cases in the future Lucie asked me to tell people on my page that they can get her mobile number from me as soon as they have proofed to be serious. She only doesn't want to publish her number on the web because of weird people. H. really offered help.   At present Lucie thinks about letting Lea be treated in a good German hospital and using the donations for it. The situation in Prague is a disaster: on Thursday a new MRI was made. They handed it out to Lucie. She came to my place, I converted the files and sent them to the doctors in Germany. The next day they told me that one ventricle grows more and more, because brain water can not flow out anymore. The doctors should make a ventricle drainage or lead the water into her stomach. Otherwise this ventricle presses on important areas in the brain. You will not believe it: today is Monday evening and the Czech doctors STILL didn't tell Lea, Lucie or the rest of her family about the situation! Nor do they have any plans to do something against the congestion. Both doctors, the one who did the operation and another, who treats her, are on holidays. They have no substitute. The first of them comes back on Wednesday.

In the meanwhile, Lea (Andrea) still suffers from pain. Her left eye rolls up from time to time without intention, her left leg and the little finger of her left hand shivers without intention, her left arm and face is slightly paralysed. She cannot walk alone anymore! Lucie asked the doctors about the situation and they tell her, they do all they can, that's all. No further explanation, nothing. Unfortunately I don't speak Czech and I'm not in the position to influence anything. I can only get informations from Germany, what the doctors here SHOULD do. But I cannot force the Czech doctors to become active.
Tomorrow I will call the doctors in Germany and I'm writing questions on a very good German cancer forum what precisely I can do in this situation.......   .............. Lea herself said that in the case that she doesn't need the money anymore for her own treatment, she would like to give it to some brain tumor foundation. That again reveals her modest and kind character to me!   So far from Prague today, regards Chris

Subject: Lea De Mae suffering in Prague.

    Dear Chris,

I am terribly sorry. It's like a nightmare for Lea (Andrea) and you all, - like torture. Lea is taking all this punishment and is already contemplating she will not be here with us anymore to receive these treatments we are collecting for - this poor sweet soul, God bless her and worrying about other people that they should at least benefit in some way - she badly needs rescuing with superior medical know-how and tactics to loosen the grip of this illness and neutralise it if possible and save her life.

It seems we have got to get Lea quickly to people who are more skilled and perhaps have a more modern setup. At least in your own country Germany, you will be able to communicate with them, as you do not speak Czech. Lea is now partly paralysed and I am afraid that the situation in Prague now seems to be beyond the local skills unfortunately or if there are people who could help in some manner, they are all away!

You might let Angela Dickson at SDRT (Samantha Dickson Research Trust) know the name of the proposed Munich treatment centre just in case Dr Henry Marsh knows them (the doctor mentioned in the newspaper the other day).
Can the German hospital arrange to collect Lea and take her now ?  can she be stabilised and flown to Munich in a hospital plane, assuming it is safe for her to travel by plane (air pressures)? - otherwise she may die there in Prague!

I read that the Czech doctors do not have facilities in the same hospital for even a bed for Lea and she has to travel between two places!

Are Munich still saying they can help Lea?  You say on Wednesday one of her Czech doctors is back from holidays - but even if he is on holidays, he should at least be contacted. This is a life and death matter!

I suggest if Munich sounds the best bet for competent extra treatment, try to arrange to get Lea there by hospital plane (I do not know how far Munich is from Prague) or by helicopter however it may be done as soon as possible by safe journey method.  Use the funds you can muster and H. will help I am sure as the e-mail indicates from M.H. and they will help by payment to the clinic and we will carry on of course with more fund-raising too, but all the money in the world is no good if Lea is not treated competently very soon, as I cannot see how her body can stand up to all this without competent actions to fight back and she will die there in Prague unless something is done very very soon.

I have copied this letter to Angela at the UK Trust for info.  I have removed text about other matters which I will write separately.   I have also copied it to Mark.H., USA,  Olda, Cz. Ss. Cz, Darrin, USA & Juh.L., Canada and Alexander in Russia and others who I believe care.

I am so sorry for you Chris - I am very upset about Lea's situation but we should try to medically fight back. Let's try something to reverse this situation by getting Lea to Munich which is in your territory which is one good thing and as it seems, everyone is more on the ball there. Please let Mark at H. have all the details of which clinic, etc you think is suitable.

PS. In Friday's "Evening Standard" (29/10/04) Dr Richard Hodosh, Surgeon was shown carrying out a live on air brain tumour removal via satellite from a hospital in New Jersey.

PPS. About more fund-raising, I will write later. I think now the priority is to stabilise Lea and get her to Munich or wherever is thought the best chance.

" Lovely Lea De Mae Needs a Passage To Germany Now !"

Hello everyone, from the latest information that Chris Danneffel has kindly mailed to us Just recently, Lea's medical condition doesn't look very encouraging as her last MRI Test showed, which was taken at the Prague Hospital just a few days ago ?

Their procedures so far have been archaic and very slow at best, and Lea De Mae's Medical condition is at a very critical stage at this time !

Realistically, much more could be done immediately for Lea's comfort and benefit, to relieve the high pressure that has been building in her one ventricle because of water flow blockage in that area, the doctor's can actually redirect the water flow to her stomach, with proper new procedures and techniques, which are fully available to them in this case, but, Czech doctors have not attempted anything too adventurous just yet, hopefully specialist doctors in Germany could look into this problem in the near future ?

Unfortunately, too much precious time has been already wasted by very old-fashioned methods and techniques at the old Prague Hospital, there is really no other choice at this time, other than to arrange a quick & safe passage to Lea De Mae and her family to Germany..to continue her very delicate treatments at a high-tech treatment facility or a Special Clinic in Germany, where they have highly skilled doctors and the finest equipment at their disposal !

I personally contacted Vice-President of Hustler Publishing in USA..Mr. Mark Hamilton  just yesterday,  notifying him of Lea De Mae's critical situation in Prague, - hopefully he can contact Lucie Absolonova or Oldrich Widman about this very important Development .

Thank You For All Your Kind Support !

and thank you so much for all you are doing, Juhani for Lea at the HUSTLER end in the USA end.

Larry Flynt, Mark Hamilton at HUSTLER are indeed "a class act", as Spanish fan, Juanito, rightly described them in another Forum.

There are so many people to thank  - but now, we need to get this show on the road with an all-out effort to save Lea at a more advanced specialist clinic.

Lea's sweet unselfish and caring nature and the great efforts of her friends Oldrich and Chris, Monica and Silvia and all concerned will set an example to the adult movie world  - hitherto a somewhat superficial and cold arena.

HUSTLER changed this world  - while "Private" who ignored the pleas to help Lea have perhaps set in motion the downfall of their own empire. They may be large money-makers - but they are very poor in spirit.

We agree that angelic Lea may be "Heaven sent"  - but we want to keep her here with us for a long long time yet!

"New MRI today - medical equipment not usable over weekends"

Dear fans and friends of Lea De Mae, hello everybody!

This spot of webspace is planned to be the first official personal website of Lea De Mae. Negotiations regarding this issue were made in July 2004.

Shortly before the first shoots for this site were supposed to start, Lea De Mae had to go to the hospital unexpectedly because of headaches and problems with her left eye and movements on the left side of her body. After Lea's friends urged the doctors to make a CT and MRI, they indeed found a tumour close to her basal ganglias. Immediately, brain surgery was carried out. According to many German specialists who saw the results on MRI, this operation was performed amazingly well. All this happened in the middle of August.

4 weeks later, a course of radio therapy started and another 2 weeks after that, a course of chemotherapy (Temodal) followed. Both have been finished a few days ago. Another MRI will be made on the 4th November 2004.

Thanks to Lea De Mae's manager Oldrich Widman from Dream Entertainment, a "Lea De Mae Medical Fund" was founded with the kind support of famous Silvia Saint. Ever since then, many people around the world have kindly sent money to support lovely Lea De Mae.

One week ago, when Lea was at home for the weekend, she was in a relatively good mood and constitution. Lea spent two days at home together with her closest friends, among them her sister, Lucie who mainly takes care of her, and moviestar Monica Sweetheart, with whom she often worked together and with whom she liked to party. After that weekend, Lea went back to hospital for another round of radiation therapy. Since last Wednesday Lea's at home. But Lea doesn't feel well right now; she suffers from heavy pains in her back and in her head. Last night, the emergency doctor had to be called. We're currently looking for a proper pain therapy, but according to Lucie, the Czech doctors do not seem to be able to deal with that.

In the meantime Lea De Mae also suffers from the fatigue syndrome, she stays in bed all day and doesn't want to see anybody, not even her closest friends.

As Pics-and-Models is located both in Czech Republic and in Germany, we were able to contact many clinics and specialists mainly in Germany but also in Switzerland, Great Britain, USA and Australia. The problem is the unfavourable location of the tumour. Because it lays close to very important parts of her brain, it could not be cut out completely. What's even worse: this kind of cancer is able to keep growing. Another MRI in 4 weeks will reveal the current situation and also whether Lea might need a second therapy or not. If yes, Lea maybe can participate in a clinical trial, which would be free in Germany. However, if Lea doesn't meet the criteria, we have to look for a solution which could be very expensive.

Since we don't know what the future has in store for us, we think that it was a good idea of Olda Widman & Silvie Saint to raise a
medical fund for Lea De Mae. Soon we want to publish a list of all donors as well as the current amount of money that has come in so far.

A "thank you" note from Lea De Mae to all of her fans, friends and helpers all over the world is in the process of being translated and will be published here, too.

We'll keep you updated on everything what happens regarding the situation of adorable Lea De Mae.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 2nd November 2004

As I'm writing these lines, my eyes are filled with tears. It's one of the most depressing moments when something very sad happens that you cannot influence. Yesterday night the emergency doctor had to be called again. Lea's pains were so extreme that the first two doses of medicine showed no effect. Lea didn't sleep at all, but went from one room to the other, not knowing how to get rid of her headaches.

Today, her sister Lucie brought her back into hospital where Lea didn't want to go, because it's old and ugly and the elderly patients around her are dying. Lea De Mae and her sister arrived at 2 pm, but they had to wait 2 hours(!) until a doctor finally came to take care of her. Because of this dramatic situation a new CT will be made already tomorrow.

But Lea, who brought so much joy into the lives of so many people, carries her heavy weight solely. We are standing beside her, helplessly and not being able to ease her pain - with tears in our eyes.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 2nd/3rd November 2004

Yesterday I visited Lea in the hospital. When I came into the room and stepped up to her bed. As if she had to excuse herself, Lea said: "I thought I would be better now", and with a shrug of her shoulders she added: "But I'm not." The way she uttered these words revealed to me kind of a of stoic resignation - bowed of course, but not broken. Maybe Lea draws strength from the fact, that she was a top perfomance athlete (Olympic high diver) before.

Earlier I've mentioned the "old and ugly" hospital Lea De Mae has to stay in.

Lea De Mae - Spital 01 Lea De Mae - Spital 03
At least the doctors finally found the right mixture of medicaments against her pain. "Well, they are doing something", Lea says, "but it always takes so long".

Thursday was a day full of suspense. Lea De Mae had to go into another hospital where they have the facilities of making MRIs. Lucie and Iva accompanied her all day long. Finally in the evening they were handed out the results. Immediately after that Lucie called me and we all met at my place near to the old and famous Charles Bridge.

Now we have to sit and wait to see what the doctors will tell us. Also today Lea's doctors will let us know what they've found out on the basis of the MRI.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 5th November 2004

Last Friday the German doctors and specialists of different clinics and universities told me what they see on the MRI pictures: a ventricle in the right hemisphere grows wider and wider, because the liquid (brain water) cannot flow out as it should. The ventricle now presses on important structures of the brain. Therefore a ventricle drainage should be created or the brainwater should be led into her stomach via a little hose. While this information was delivered from German specialists already on Friday, we have still no information about Lea's current health situation from the doctors in Prague, nor do we have any informations about what the doctors are planning to do. By the way: it's Monday evening now!

    Rainbow Spital
Sunday, 11-7-2004 - Lea's hospital lays on the hill (behind the trees).

When I saw Lea De Mae in the hospital yesterday, she still suffered from pain. I asked her: "What did the doctors tell you about the MRI?" - "Nothing. The doctors don't talk to me." I noticed that Lea's left eye rolled up from time to time without intention, her left leg and the little finger of her left hand shivered without intention, her left arm and face were slightly paralysed. She couldn't walk to the toilet without help anymore. "I'm afraid", Lea said, "I'm afraid."

I'm not a specialist, but my impression is, that we see the results of the growing ventricle! I'm wondering whether it's normal to do nothing in similar cases or what happens. When Lucie asked the doctors about Lea's situation, they only told her, that they already do what they can do. Without further explanations. Unfortunately, I don't speak Czech and I'm not in the position to influence anything. I can only get informations from Germany, about what the doctors here COULD do. But I cannot force the Czech doctors to become active.

As far as Lucie told me, there are two doctors, who are responsible for Lea's treatment. One of them is the specialist who obviously did the amazingly good surgery. The other was treating her with radio and chemo therapy afterwards. But both of them are on holidays now. They have no substitutes, and they are not reachable. Neither per eMail, nor per telephone. One of them comes back on Wednesday. In the meantime nothing happens in regard of helping Lea!

But a light of hope appeared at the horizon as well. Due to never ending activities of some true Lea De Mae fans, Larry Flynt's company HUSTLER finally got in touch with Lucie. They got her number from Monica Sweetheart*. It seems that they really want to help. Lucie thinks that it would be the best to let Lea be treated in some very good hospital in Germany. The money of the donors would be needed for this.

To receive money from other people who want to help her almost seems embarrassing to Lea De Mae. She mentioned, that if she doesn't need the money for her own treatment anymore, she wants to give the rest to a foundation which cares for people with the same illness. This again reveals Lea De Mae's modest and kind character to me!

*Just to be prepared for similar cases in the future, Lucie asked me to declare, that each person who wants to personally get in touch with her on the phone, can get her number from me, as soon as he can prove that he's serious. Therefore, please make sure that you send me your full name, address and telephone number.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 8th November 2004

A British specialist in Liverpool told me today that on the pictures of Lea De Mae's MRI he discerns a large tumour cyst in Lea's right hemisphere, which should be deflated soon. In the meantime, what Lucie tells me gets more and more grotesque and is simply unbelievable: the doctors in her hospital say that they cannot do more than giving Lea medicaments against her pain, until the doctor who is responsible for Lea's treatment is back from holiday. This will not be on Wednesday (see above) but only in two weeks!

According to doctors in Germany whom I'm in contact with, this is completely unacceptable. Either he has to come back from holidays or he has to designate a substitute! Lea's health situation is getting worse and worse and can be limiting if she will not be treated soon.

Therefore at present we're communicating with German clinics in regard to bringing Lea abroad very quickly.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 9th November 2004

"Still in Czech hospital - severe pains"

I'm writing these lines impressed by the experience of seeing a former lovely young sporting and brave lady going through toils and tortures. While a couple of days ago her comment was "I'm like a child" with a slight smile in her face, when I spoon-fed her, she seemed like a baby today. Her mother was with her yesterday and today from early morning to late evening. When Lea squirms in her bed with endless headaches, it's driving me into helpless rage and sadness.

Why is she not in Germany in the meantime? I don't know. I had the phone in my hand and I was talking to German clinics on Wednesday afternoon. There are 4 clinics which I was told are belonging to the best in regard to treating brain cancer and not too far away from Prague: Dresden, Tübingen, Munich and Regensburg. They e.g. carry out cyst punctuations without any problems. Staying there for one day would cost about 400 to 500 Euros. As Lea is not a German citizen she would have to pay for 20 days in advance. Additionally, it would be necessary to transport Lea by medical helicopter because she's too weak for other alternatives.

But at the same time when I was doing these calls, Lucie sent me an sms and told me that Lea finally would be transferred to another hospital in Prague where they decide what they're gonna do. I was satisfied with this information, since it would be the best solution: Lea would not have to suffer from a long distance transportation. Also, I was told that they have a "gamma knife" there, which is a revolutionary instrument. Czech citizens paid for it. At last, after waiting for so many endless days and sleepless nights, there will be some relief for Lea De Mae!

However, when I was in the hospital yesterday, Lea still was there. Her mother told me that her transfer will take place only tomorrow. So I went there today and Lea STILL was there. This time her mother has been told that Lea will not be transferred herself, but at first only her medical papers (MRI). Transfer of Lea is planned for Friday, which is tomorrow.

I don't want to impeach anyone, I'm just telling everybody what I see and I'm trying to be as close to reality as possible. I am not a doctor and I can't decide whether this is international medical treatment standard (which I guess Lea has a right for!) or not: Lea's mother asked the doctors why they haven't done anything for so long while Lea showed neurological symptoms and was suffering from severe pains. Their answer was: within 10 days after radiation and chemo therapy nothing could be done in any case. If this is true, I don't know why the MRI was made already one week ago? It doesn't seem logical to me why the doctors put their decision about what they're gonna do on the basis of MRI results which are 7 days old? This is what I try to ask the doctors tomorrow.

Which scares me a little bit is that still everybody seems to wait for this well-known specialist with highest reputation, who did Lea's first operation, but who is on holidays right now. This will be my second question: where is he, when does he come back or is he willing to interrupt his holidays - for the sake of Lea De Mae's life?!

By the way: yesterday evening Olda Widman (Dream Entertainment) and I were talking with each other until deep into he night. He also seems to be very affected by Lea's illness and he promised further help especially when it comes to questions like how could Lea be transferred into a German hospital or how more donors could be motivated to help Lea on the financial part. He also knows many important people in Czech Republic which could be of some help on informal levels.

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 11th November 2004

"New MRI today - medical equipment not usable over weekends"

Here are the latest news, in short, because my notebook battery is running out of power.

Lea's mother and I are at the hospital where Lea De Mae is going to be transferred today. However, because the MRI equipment in this "target hospital" is broken, she had to be transported to a third hospital where a new MRI can be made. Lucie accompanied her. Now Lea De Mae is here. She doesn't want to see anybody and is in a very bad condition.

I had a longer talk with one of the responsible doctors. I wanted to know, why for about one full week the doctors didn't react. He explained, that a circle of about 6 specialists are coming together twice a month to discuss the most complicated medical cases. Lea's case is one of them. But when Lea went to hospital because of her severe headaches almost two weeks ago, the last meeting had just taken place. Therefore she had to wait until yesterday, when these doctors came together again. They decided to make another MRI (which was done a couple of minutes ago) and then quickly make a ventricle drainage.

In Germany this would happen today or tomorrow. But we're in Czech Republic. The friendly doctor couldn't expain why, but said it's simply like that: they CANNOT use the stereotactic equipment which they need for the important ventricle drainage on weekends. It's only available from Monday to Friday!!!! Lucie is crying and completely desperate and so is her mother. Furthermore, the doctors have to perform the operation on Monday without this highly respected specialist, who comes back from holidays only on thursday.

The only positive information I could get was, that finally Lea De Mae can be treated more effectively against her pains.

This weekend Lea De Mae needs a guardian angel and a lot of positive thoughts from all her friends and friends around the globe!

Chris - Prague, Czech Republic 12th November 2004

Since Lucie is very much involved in taking care of her sister, feel free to instead contact me in case of pressing matters. I'll forward all messages to her as soon as possible. Also, if you can prove to be serious, I will send you Lucie's Czech mobile number, so that you can get in touch with her directly.

Thanks to Victor from London for reviewing and correcting my English!

" Unfortunately Lea's treatments have been very slow in coming ?"

I feel extremely distressed and worried to say this, but from the latest
medical information from the Prague Hospital..which Chris Danneffel
very kindly mailed to us, treatments and procedures at the old Prague
Hospital  have been almost at a standstill lately, meanwhile lovely Lea
has been suffering from ever increasing headaches and back aches !

Thank God that Lea will be transferred to another Hospital in Prague,
where they have proper facilities and instruments..to treat her very
painful but delicate condition, this will happen early as this coming ..
    Monday Nov.15th !

There is still one bright ray of hope for lovely Lea De Mae..and it is
a possibility to get her transferred to a  Specialty Clinic located in
Germany..because of her weakened condition this has to be done
    very delicately via Medical/Helicopter.

I was incredibly pleased to hear from Mr Oldrich Widman of Dream -
Entertainment, that he has been in touch with Mr L Flynt of  Hustler-
Publishing Enterprises USA lately, and he has prepared all of Lea's
very confidential paperwork and information last week..these highly
important papers will be sent to Hustler Publishing President Mr L Flynt
    immediately !

We can be all extremely grateful that the Vice-President of Hustler-
Publishing USA..Mr Mark Hamilton  took positive action immediately,
trying to assist lovely Lea De Mae..at this very critical time in her life !

I have nothing but the highest respect for Mr L Flynt..as he got where
he is today..by always being truthful and honest and caring of people
around him, it's often fine understanding people like this that make the
real differences in our world !

I am also very pleased to say that I noticed a new trend developing
lately, this wonderful news is that..many high-profile people in the
adult business..are kindly giving wonderful donations to Lea De Mae
Foundation, let's all pray and hope that this new trend will continue to
gather momentum..because it really shows that adult-business is not
just only about Money..but it's about People and Caring about each
other also, I mailed my second humble donation to *Lea De Mae  last
week , every donation makes her Hope-Ray..just' that much brighter !

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for this latest news Juhani. You always seem to bring some ray of hope.

This long night and day we are willing Lea to try to bear the unbearable until the Doctor who knows her case returns to the Czech Republic from Sydney, Australia having cut short his holidays, because of the extreme urgency of Lea's situation.

We send Lucie, Lea's mother and their stalwart friend Chris Danneffel from Germany (now staying in Prague to be at Lea's bedside), Oldrich Widman, Monica Sweetheart, Silvia Saint, Daniella Rush and all Lea's and Lucie's friends every good wish and our thoughts with the hope that soon, Lea will be able to come out of the darkness and into the dawn and that the doctors can take a firm grip on the illness now oppressing gentle Lea so senselessly and force it to relinquish its hold.

There is not a waking moment of the day or night that goes by when we are not thinking of you brave Lea, Chris will tell you this for us.

    From
long ago, these holy words - may we now dedicate to Lea,..

~ May God bless you and keep you ~
~ May God’s face shine upon you and smile upon you ~
~ May God’s face be lifted toward you and grant you peace ~

Latest news from Chris Danneffel in Prague,...

    Dear Victor,

As you can read on my last update today, Lea's condition dramatically went down and we hope that she will survive this weekend in order to benefit from the operation on Monday.

When fans of Lea (like you and me - potential helpers) want to find out something about Lea De Mae, they most probably use a search engine like Google and type in "Lea De Mae". Unfortunately they find a lot of commercial websites which try to sell her DVDs and deliver the information how pretty she is and that she's a pornstar and still active and so on. They never find Lea's page, where I put all the current informations about her situation. Only 20-30 people per day come there, and most often surfers, who searched on www.pics-and-models.com for other models, not for Lea. It's driving me mad, that maybe somebody out there is in the position to help, but doesn't get the information he needs, just because he didn't find Lea's page. Do you have any idea (or do you know someone who has an idea) how I can reach the target group of Lea De Mae fans and how they can find Lea's page in search engines?

I mean, it doesn't require membership, it's not a paysite, it's completely free, without any advertizing, I pay traffic and webspace myself. This page is simply my helping instrument for Lea De Mae and I only want it to work more effectively, as I'm giving the informations that I would like to get if I was out there somewhere and looking for "Lea De Mae".

    Thanks

"Health condition slighly better - dangerous shunt insertion yesterday"

Dear friends and fans of Lea De Mae,

I didn't feel like writing an update yesterday at all. In the late morning I've got a phone call from Lucie, Lea would gonna have her operation already today (yesterday). This was surprising because I was told that the stereotactic equipment is not available over weekends. I quickly went into the hospital.

This one lays only a few minutes away from where I live. Her parents were there, Lucie and later a couple of her closest friends arrived quickly. We didn't know exactly what happened, but we knew it would be extremely dangerous. (One of the doctors revealed to me later, that he didn't want to do it, because the risk was 50/50). While Lea De Mae was transported into the operating room, we were allowed to accompany her only for a little while. But our minds stayed with her all the time until she was brought back.

After two hours which seemed to us to be much longer, our main questions were: would she awake from narcosis? Yes, she did!  Would she be able to speak? Yes, she was!  Would she be able to move? Yes, she was!  We shed tears of enjoyment because of three times "YES"!

But our water of joy dried very soon, when we were told from the doctors, that this WAS NOT the surgery they still plan for Monday. They "only" inserted a shunt in order to let the dammed up spinal water flow out, thus releasing pressure and headaches. They still need to make a ventricle drainage and at the same time try to find out the reason for the accumulation of the spinal water. Problem number 1 is still the large eudema. Therefore Lea gets the highest doses (I think Fortecortin) which is possible. If its effect is too low, the doctors have to wait again 2 more days for installing the drainage.

Yesterday, Lea De Mae was very weak and STILL suffered from most severe pains - close to what a human being can stand.  Almost none of us will have ever experienced such tortures! Today (Sunday) she's in a slightly better condition. "Don't be afraid, we all take care of you", I told her. "I know", she answered, "thanks. I must sleep."  Sleep is what she wasn't able to do for a couple of days/nights now, because of her aches.

Again, there appears a little light at the horizon: this distinguished doctor, whom some people consider "the best in Europe" in his field, cuts off 4 days of his holidays in Sydney and will lead the operation tomorrow morning!

Latest update news on Lea sent by Chris Danneffel in Prague:

"Lea De Mae survived two dangerous operations last weekend"

Lea De Mae's guardian angel had a busy weekend. But Lea herself also did a good job and proved to be a hard fighter. With brain damages like her's most people would be in a much worse condition than Lea is today. Yesterday, only a short time after her surgery,  Lea started to make jokes about the fact that she hallucinates from time to time. Lea: "I see fishes, dogs and all kind of animals hanging around there!"

Monica Sweetheart, who was in Spain for "The Private Life of ...", is now back in Czech Republic and I saw her for the first time after two weeks. She was shocked when she learned from Lucie that Lea was undergoing surgeries in hospital again.

Suddenly I remembered that I incidentally got acquainted with Lea De Mae in June 2003 right after her interview for "The Private Life Of Lea De Mae". Let me mention therefore that several people (fans, managers, actresses and also producers) start thinking bad about PRIVATE, as they haven't shown any reaction in regard to Lea's illness so far.

But we're not through the valley yet. This surgery today was NOT the ventricle drainage the doctors had in mind. According to the doctors this would have been much too dangerous (also because of a large oedema, which couldn't be influenced by medicaments). They've just inserted a catheter with a special reservoir hidden under her skin, which ingests jammed-up spinal water and which can be deflated by simple punctuation. This (relatively simple) surgery by the way was not carried out by the famous doctor (see above).

The most relieving information of today to me (and I guess to all of us) is that finally Lea De Mae doesn't suffer from her headaches anymore. "Only my back still hurts" , she told me, "but it's ok" .

Maybe at this point I should explain: about eight years ago Lea De Mae was a member (high diver) of the Olympic Team of Czech Republic. During her training for Atlanta, USA, she had a tragic accident. While performing a risky jump from a 10 meter board, she infelicitously crashed on the water surface and nearly broke her back. She had to spend three months in a special clinic in Baden-Baden, Germany. She recovered, but since that time every now and then she has extreme pains in her back, e.g. also while performing artistic sex positions in her movies. But she's proud. She would never show it!

What's next? We don't know. Another MRI will be made within this week. Lea should feel better soon and then be able to go home. But if she needs to go back into hospital (a catheter cannot be an all time solution), it will be Bulovka again. You're right, the "old and ugly" one. The head physician in Lea's current hospital apologized to me: "You have to understand. Our capacities are limited, and there are many other patients on our waiting list."

    Message for Chris:

    Dear Chris,

Thank you so much for keeping us all informed about Lea's condition during these last several days of crisis and anguish.

Please tell Lea that we are very glad that she is feeling a lot better than she was  - even able to be amused by all those "fishes, dogs and other animals" that have been popping in to the Hospital to visit her of late!

May I ask a great favour of you, I would very much like you, if you would, to print out for Lea (if possible in colour) the whole of the topic on this Forum "Lea De Mae - Lovely To Look At". It's at:- http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=9318&subForumID=86534&action=viewTopic&commentID=980754&topicPage=

You may not have a colour printer with you, but perhaps Lea's Manager, Oldrich Widman or my friend Dick Miller in Prague would do this for you.  Dick's e-mail in Prague is:- Volny E-mail Address: dixstar@volny.cz

NB. It was movie producer Dick who very kindly helped us when we made a presentation to the elegant and delightful Daniella Rush after her accident and Dick and his friend actor Steve Holmes met Daniella in September last year just before her birthday. Daniella was having to use a wheelchair but I understand that in the house, she can get around with a support and I hope that with medical advances, maybe she will be able to fully walk again one day. Maybe you will be able to see Daniella, also Silvia with Lea, Lucie and Monica when she is feeling better and at home.

By the way, I started the above-mentioned topic as a tribute to lovely Lea De Mae  - before I knew anything at all about her being unwell. I had spotted some of your photos on the Web (of course, before I knew of you) and I thought that they were so nice - rather gentle and whimsical and as if the camera was completely captivated in glowing admiration of its subject!

You know Chris, every day, as I am driving or walking about, I sing the song to myself "Magic" thinking of you and Lea's good friends who have come to be at her bedside and have devotedly suffered with her. The words I especially like sung by Olivia Newton-John (herself a cancer-survivor) of "Grease" fame are:-

    Through every turn,
    I'll be near you
    Come any time you call,
    Catch you when you fall
    I'll be guiding you

    You have to believe,
    We are magic
Nothing can stand in our way
    Have to believe,
    We are magic
Don't let your aim ever stray

And if all your hopes survive
    Destiny will arrive
    Bring all your dreams alive,
    For you.

Maybe soon, Lea will be feeling well enough to play the music CD and even watch the charming movie "Xanadu" I sent to Lucie, in which this and other songs are featured (including some by the famous "Electric Light Orchestra" - ELO).

I notice from a bio on the Web, that Lea likes Rock 'N' Roll. Here I must declare an interest. Does Lea like Elvis Presley I wonder? If so, I would like to send some Elvis music over for Lea.

Speaking of "The King", I made a little tribute to Elvis on Silvia's Forum in August this year, which is at: http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=9318&subForumID=9295&action=viewTopic&commentID=911491&topicPage=1

I have been an Elvis fan since 1957 when my late Auntie took me to see "Jailhouse Rock" in the cinema  - when the youngsters were dancing in the aisles!  The title song from the movie was the first ever in this country to go straight to No.1 in the "Top Twenty" Music Charts.

I am not quite sure if Silvia is coming to London in a day or two for the Olympia Exhibition Hall "Erotica" Show, but if so, and if I can meet Silvia, I will give her some music of Elvis for Lea, otherwise I will airmail it to Lea and Lucie at the home address.

One question, the Web has all different dates for Lea's date of birth. I believe it is Boxing Day 1977 (26th December 1977). Is this correct ?  [One site mentioned 1976 another 1982, but I think 1977 is correct?].  This year, Xmas Day and Boxing Day are on a Saturday and Sunday.

Well, it's now after 3.45am here in London. There are no lights on in any other house in the road!  But I am pleased to be able to write a different kind of message for the first time in many exhausting and worrying days.

We send our warmest wishes to brave Lea and for tonight, we can take some measure of comfort at last from the latest news you have sent us.

    God Bless lovely Lea.

    Goodnight from London to all.

    Victor

    Dear Andy,

Thank you very much for your kind offer of help. I hear Prague is a wonderful City.

Chris's e-mail is at: Chris Danneffel
    E-mail Address:  chris@danneffel.de

The topic I wanted Lea to see was the one "Lea De Mae  - Lovely To Look At".  Maybe if you could in any case print one set off in colour (A4) and please could you manage to hand deliver or post it to Lea's sister Lucie at:-

    ANDREA & LUCIE ABSOLONOVA,
    Okrajova 9
    198 00 PRAGUE 9
    CZECH REPUBLIC

alternatively, if you are nearer to Chris than Lucie, maybe you could deliver it to Chris by hand if your time allows, so he can take it to the Hospital.  We can't let the "fishes and dogs, etc." have all the say!

    Thanks so much, Andy.

    Regards, Victor.

    ADDENDUM.

Chris has a special recently-created Forum for Lea's friends and family to use at:
    http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=39098&subForumID=81322

May I suggest that you may also care to post up your e-mail to Chris (or suitable extracts from it) on here and on Chris's Forum too, if you have time. It may be that Chris will spot these before he actually gets your e-mail. I remember that Chris had problems with e-mails once or twice in the past. Thanks again Andy for your kind offer of help.

I can print it tomorrow. The form of delivery is a question, the best way as I can see
is to post it by mail or a currier or to give it personaly to Chris. I will see which way appear to be the easiest.

    Andy

Thanks very much Andy. No need for a courier though.

If you have time and you are able to put it in the ordinary post that will be fine  - by
letterpost (larger envelope needed and perhaps extra stamps!) addressed to Lucie at her home address, as below*, perhaps with a little note to ask Lucie to show it to Andrea (Lea) if she is well enough to read it, as well as your own good wishes.  NB. Chris Danneffel is staying several hours by bicycle from Lucia's home in Okrajova (where Andrea is staying when not in hospital).

Thanks again, Victor. Wednesday 17th November 10.24pm.

PS. Silvia Saint's former Manager and Fund Organiser, Oldrich Widman has just e-mailed to say that he is also making a copy. Anyway, I would like both Lea and Chris to have a set if possible, so maybe if you would be kind enough to just post one set to Okrajova then there will be two sets made.

Latest news update from Chris in Prague 19th November 2004.

"Still weak - doesn't want to go into another hospital again"

Very soon, I have to leave Prague for reasons of my job in Germany. As her current hospital lays close to my current apartment, I see Lea each day. In relation to the brain damage (tumour, 3 surgeries, radio and chemotherapy, negative side effects), Lea's in a better condition than most of us would be.

However, Lea is not able to be involved in communication. She utters one or two sentences, but always is too tired to keep her attention alive for more than a couple of minutes (fatigue syndrome).

From time to time Lea tries to stand up and (with some support) then she walks around a little bit. She needs all of her energy (and she has a lot!) to fight against the weakness in her legs and the pains in her back, which still are there. Her headaches are reduced, but still are there too.

Lea's current hospital is nice and is highest international standard.  During the day and night, qualified and friendly nurses and doctors are around and take care of the patients. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, the capacities of this hospital are limited. Therefore, she has to leave the hospital. After the very bad experiences in other locations, yesterday evening Lea told me: "They want to send me into another hospital." - "Yes, they told me about it. It's because the capacities are so limited." - "I know. But I don't want to go in another hospital, I wanna stay here!"

I promised her not to leave Prague before I know who exactly will be responsible for Lea's following treatment, what exactly they plan to do and to keep an eye on it as well as I can. And I want to come back as soon as possible.

Probably I will have no opportunity to update this page over the weekend.  But I'll keep you informed.

    Dear Andy, Mikey,

I met Oldrich Widman here in London on Friday 19th and again last night Sunday 21st November. We had supper together and last night Oldrich brought along his personal assistant from Dream Entertainment Inc. They had both been at the "Erotica" Show at Olympia Exhibition Hall, which ended last night. Oldrich brought me a gift from English director Tanya Hyde (a DVD made for Harmony UK).

I have written a bit about the Friday meeting in another topic, but I asked Oldrich about your kind wish to send flowers, Andy.  Oldrich said that flowers are unfortunately not allowed into Lea's Ward because of risk of infection. In fact, I remember when I once went to the Royal Marsden Hospital many years ago that fresh fruit was not allowed in either (only tinned fruit).

Lea is back at the older hospital because the newer one is a military hospital where surgery was performed whereas Lea's oncologists are at the other (older) place. Poor Lea, because she liked the military one. It seems so unfair how much this young lady has to endure  - all her bright and promising life turned upside down  - but this is what we are trying to overcome by supporting Lea in her fight to regain her health.

Before Oldrich left Prague 3 days ago, Lea was generally tired and sleeping a fair amount of the time, so maybe she is not really able to receive visitors in the normal jolly way you usually imagine. Of course, Lea's younger sister Lucie is there every day and I expect other friends like Monica Sweetheart will be close at hand, after she returns to Prague from London perhaps tomorrow.

I suggested to Oldrich that he might be able to bring a portable CD player (not earphone type) and a laptop computer into the patients/visitors lounge (if there is one) so Lea could occupy herself a little at some part of the day for her, otherwise I fear she will not be exercising her mind enough and just laying there with her pain concentrated with nothing to distract her. Even patients in a coma have been known to have benefited from familiar sounds which have penetrated through to them and sometimes awoken them.

Oldrich will be in touch with Lucie this week on various matters, especially since Chris Danneffel has had to return to Germany for 2/3 weeks for work commitments, but he will be back in Prague before Xmas.

    We'll speak again soon.
    Goodnight from London.

    Best wishes, Victor
    Monday 22nd November 2004  2.33am.
