The last few days have been terrible, it seems as if I have been targeted. As I was away on vacation for several days, someone broke into my home and ransacked it. They took everything they could easily handle, including both my computers and 3 big external drives and all of my DVD disks...even my empty ones. I reported it to the authorities and I'm waiting to hear from them, but I don't expect any good news. I am on an ancient computer right now--one I had targeted for junking. I lost 90% of my Silvia stuff....not sure if I'm madder or sadder. I'm just disgusted of the whole thing...not sure if I will even try to recover anything! ALL my DVD's are gone...I'm too tired to even think about my next move.....talk more later...foxxy!

Sincerely sorry that happened to you. It is certainly a blow, but as discussed by peers, the material value can be replaced, otherwise the images are personal, but surely with the help of friends and your strength that were forgotten.
Regarding Silvia, possibly with the forum people can recover almost 99% of the material.

Sorry to hear of the burglary. Are you insured for this under "Contents" policy?
I have originals of most of Silvia's best European films (and a couple of the best USA ones) so please let me know by e-mail what you particularly want.
I am feeling so sorry for you and would like to comfort you, but admittedly these are sad news. I know that many people that have been burgled do not only suffer from their loss of money and equipment, but also from the loss of intimacy, because someone broke into their private sphere and one never knows if this will happen a second time.
But that said, I agree with Budgie. Do not take it too emotional and rather think about it. In contrast to physical injuries, all losses of hardware and furniture are reparable, maybe even your insurance company will pay something. I do not know if you live in a house of your own or in a rented apartment, but perhaps some additional anti-burglar equipment on door and windows could help to minimize the risk of a repitition in the future. Usually these people try to go the easiest way, so if your home is significantly safer than that of your neighbours they probably will avoid it or stop their attempt after a short time even if it is not yet Fort Knox.
And for the Silvia stuff, I hope you have uploaded the most precious parts of your collection. There will still remain a loss not only for you, but also for us all here at the forum. But at least we altogether should manage to recover 99% of the files that were posted here by you or other people. I hope that Victor from Mexico has a complete collection of those videos that have been posted here in the last 5 years. And for the pictures, there should be at least Venizelos and Adam (I hope he is alright) with a fairly complete collection. (I for mine cannot promise too much about the videos because I downloaded in most cases only those videos that I did not have at all before. So my collection comprises a lot of low resolution videos where you had posted those with higher resolution.)
I think in a few weeks or months when the first shock is over and your home and hardware will be reestablished we should make a complete list of files and should check for each of them if it is still online or if someone is able to upload it again. Maybe we could even collect for buying a new hard drive where someone copies his whole collection and sends it to you. Because it could become too lengthy and cumbersome for you to download all these files as RARs from filehosters.

Thanks to all of you for all of your words and especially all of your offerings to help me recover anything I need. For now, it is too early for me to know what I need until I hear from the authorities about my chances of getting my stuff back. However, they have told me that they think they have some suspects. I don't know how much confidence I have in them but I won't make any judgement of them yet. As far as the computers and other hardware, I will easily replace all of that...no problem...all insured of course. But what I really want is to have my personal stuff back, and yes I have a chance to get them. And yes, I do feel like my turf has been violated, and I think it may have been someone who personally knew me. Since I have no "cameras" to show the culprits and no eye witnesses to come forward, it may take some time to solve. There has been no evidence of any thievery at any time here, but my place was locked and I have retired neighbors nearby...and we watch eachother's places all the time. These robbers just happen to know when both my neighbors were away....that's not a coincidence...that may be their demise! Anyway, I hope that will get them caught eventually. So thanks again, I do appreciate all of you...and I may ask for your help if I do not get my stuff back....thanks...foxxy.
