Lea liked to party!

"Let's have a party - for Lea! "

If Lea knew how many people around the world are deeply affected by her sudden death, she wouldn't believe it or she would cry tears of joy without end. She was longing for love, but didn't believe she's worth it and unfortunately rarely found it.

Lea liked to party. She told me she can't dance very good but likes to dance very much. Lucie and Lea's closest friends are sure that Lea, if she had known she would die, would like us to arrange a party for her. And so we do.

Whoever wants to come to Prague for Lea's funeral is invited. After the celebration we want to have a party for Lea. I can't give you more details right now, since we still are organizing it.

Of course, those of you who will not be able to join us physically, may hopefully join us via the internet. If possible, we want to create a chatroom for you, maybe with webcams. Monica Sweetheart will be there, and I think Daniela Rush, Silvia Saint and many more. The time is short, so please help spread these news around the world to all the fans of Lea. She would appreciate, I'm sure, if you don't forget to have a bottle of white wine with you and/or some Vodka. This is what she liked to drink.

Stay tuned - we keep you in informed.

By the way: if you think you can help us somehow with the chatroom and the integration of webcams, let us know.

To, Oldrich Widman of Dream Entertainment,

Dear Oldrich,

My deepest condolences to you, Lucie, Chris Danneffel, Monica Sweetheart, Silvia Saint, Daniella Rush and all who knew, admired and loved Lea De Mae (Andrea).

I see that there is to be a "celebration of Lea's life and achievements" on Thursday 16th December in Prague at 4pm at the restaurant mentioned above.

I hope all Lea's colleagues and dear friends will be there to recall their happy times and memories over these last six years or so in knowing and filming with lovely Lea De Mae.

Lea has endeared herself to so many people who did not know her in person - but who sensed the essence of this beautiful person  -  so lovely and stunning to look at (as in Daniella's famous movie by Frank Thring "The Bride Wore Black") but also delightful, kindly and gracious in her off-screen and inner nature.

Just before Lea was taken unwell again with severe head pains, I sent to her sister Lucie some music from Olivia Newton-John (particularly for the haunting song "Magic") and later when I met you in London, you kindly took some Elvis Presley cds music and Abba music back to Prague to give to Lea.

Unfortunately, Lea was too ill to hear any of these cds or watch the dvds but I know that Lea liked Rock 'n' Roll so I wonder maybe you could play some of the nice songs from the cds at the celebration party on Thursday.  [One song for Lucie is "Little Sister" (1961) and for Lea "Love Me Tender" (sung by Elvis in the movie of the same name in 1956) and "Loving You"  and the lively song "Teddy Bear" (both 1957) and the haunting "Memories" (1968). Some of the Abba songs are very catchy - "Dancing Queen" and "Angel Eyes".]

This, to me, would be as if I was there with you in Prague!

Best wishes,
In thoughts of Lea

Victor. London. Tuesday 14th December 2004.

PS. Please convey my greetings to Silvia and Daniella also with many congratulations for her recent Award at the Prague Show.

The lovely and adorable Czech beauty - Lea De Mae

Love me tender, Love me sweet, Never let me go. You have made my life complete, And I love you so. Love me tender, Love me true, All my dreams fulfil For my darling I love you, And I always will. Love me tender, Love me long, Take me to your heart. For it's there that I belong, And we'll never part. Love me tender, Love me dear, Tell me you are mine. I'll be yours through all the years, Till the end of time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Let's have a party - for Lea! pt. 2"

The funeral starts at 14h. The party for Lea will take place in the evening on a little island on the Vltava River in the centre of Prague (Strelecky Ostrov). Unfortunately we don't have internet connection there. We try a solution with mobile phone. If somebody in Prague reads this and thinks he can help us out with (1) Notebook (2) Mobile with internet support (3) Webcam (4) technical Know How - let me know. My mobile number is 737-704407.

"Let's have a party - for Lea! pt. 3"

The funeral is at the cemetery in Strasnice at 14h. Meeting point is the Krematoria. If you come, please wear dark clothes. Casual is fine. We couldn't organize webcams, but we have a chatroom for you. I hope it works. I don't know, if we have the technical basis for meeting you on the chat, but I'll try to go somewhere else where I can find internet connection to post current photos here during the party.

P.S. White wine and Vodka was my proposal to all of you who stay at home, of course!  Some people misunderstood this message. I'm sorry for that.

"Funeral & Goodbye Party"

I have to apologize to you. I wanted to let you participate much closer at the goodbye celebration, but my sadness paralyzed me. It was the first time that I've seen somebody who is dead. Behind a window Lea was lying in her coffin like an angel. Holy. Unreal. Not from this world. Later, her closed white coffin was placed on the stage of the big hallof the cemetery, where many people joined and listened to some pieces of music that Lea liked to listen to in her lifetime. One of them was "C'est la vie" by Karel Gott.

To the tunes of "The show must go on" from the soundtrack of Moulin Rouge (one of Lea's favorite) her coffin slowly vanished into the dark in the back of the stage and the big red curtain was closed. Lea will not be buried, she will be burnt. Ashes to ashes. Stardust to stardust. Wasn't her short life like a falling star at the night sky?

In the evening, nobody was in the mood for a dancing party - her closest family members and relatives as well as a couple of personal friends were sharing their grieve together, while adoring the amazing beauty of that lovely lady who had to die when she was just about to start into a new life. Lucie had decorated the room with large photos of her sister, which were taken shortly before her tragic illness. They were surrounded by an ocean of flowers. These shrines were the only things I took pictures of when the party was over. I simply was not able to take my camera and shoot as I had in mind before. These few pictures of the shrines I will post here a little later.

A short slideshow with about 50 photos from Lea's childhood to present took us all a little nearer to the real person behind Lea De Mae, letting us feel the loss of her even deeper.

At two a clock in the morning the remaining people left the little island on Vltava River and went home. It was cold. Minus 7°C. The event yesterday evening seemed to me like a surprise party for Lea's birthday, with many people waiting for her - but Lea De Mae, the main important person didn't appear. And she will never ever do.
WE MISS YOU SO MUCH!
