Vic : OK to remove the question about drawbacks if you think so.
My opinion about the remark from Bernd30: Thanks for the proposal, I myself did not think of asking political questions because I thought it was too touchy subject . Also we do not have much chances to get answers so if we ask this kind of question, she may not want to answer indeed.
Usually in this kind of interview, moderators decide whether they agree to place this question.
Well it's back to blue skies and sunshine in London.
Re: Interview Questions: There is a saying that never discuss politics or religion with acquaintances! Maybe such questions are better left unasked on a public forum, as Elvis observed (when he was being criticised by American religious leaders for his "vulgar" hip-swinging song delivery in 1956) that it is said "you cannot please all of the people all of the time".
You're right about politics & religion, but Bernd is right too, because his question is a good way to know if our Silvia is only a superficial partygirl, or if she has more serious concerns. I never heard her talking about important subjects...
I don't know what could be the acceptable question, and perhaps some other points of the interview could give us parts of the answer !
You're right about moderators (censors) : an interview is never improvised. Sometimes, the talent of interviewer allows to deviate slightly from the original subject...
It seems that moderator is not too keen on adressing question about politics. But I understand Adam and Bernd's opinion , so I would suggest a more neutral question like "Do you like subject like politics ? Do you follow political life in your country?" if this suits more moderator.
I believe that with these exchanges the interview is mature enough now to get started ...
Thanks for all the extra comments. I wonder if I could ask Sun a great favour to prepare a final draft of the Questions (including general political ones) that I can look through it all again over the weekend. This will save me a bit of typing (with my sore wrist!). All I need to do is to perhaps tidy up the English before sending them off to Martin with a covering note, which I'll post up here of course.
Good evening Vic Here is the final text of the interview after all the comments : "Ahoj Sylvia, jak se mas ?

Do not hesitate to correct english. Have a nice weekend and good luck !!!
Ok, I think, Sun's proposition is a good compromise. I thought that just the fact that this is not a live interview would Silvie allow to skip questions she is not keen on. I don't like "die Schere im Kopf" (German for "scissors in the head") where journalists don't dare to write about controversial things because they fear the influence of publishers.
I have sent off the following letter by e-mail to Martin in Prague,...

first of all I must say, that I know Silvia for ten years now and I must say she is by far the most beautiyful woman I know. She is getting even more beautiyful and pretty from year to year.
Something about the prepared questions to Silvia: I agree with Bernd to ask her about her political attitude. I also would like to know why the book "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera is her famous literature. I read it because of her and it was very interesting.
I think there is a misunderstood, unfortunaly I don`t know her personaly, just like you and the most of us only from the media. You`re right if I would know her personaly I would be the most lucky man on the world

Nothing happened. No response. Either she did not like our questions (too indiscrete?) or she generally does not answer, if it's not for promotional or other commercial purposes.
