So friends, my country had an earthquake of 8.8 degrees on the Richter scale this morning (at 03:34 hrs. GMT -4). It was a terrible awakening, outage, phone, water, all the dark and unable to do anything, a lot of screaming and things that fell. Today, a little quieter, we have seen on TV the great destruction that was much of the country. It was a terrible situation ... For 25 years since we had an earthquake of this magnitude and obviously the aftershocks continue and will last (as always) a couple of days. Sorry if this is out of place in the forum, but I needed to tell what happened.

I saw the informations this evening only, and i had a thought for you also. I hope all your family is fine and that the aftershocks won't be too hard in the next days.
Compare to this, the storm we're waiting for this night, in France, is nothing... i hope !

Thanks for your comments. My country is quite devastated, with many places completely destroyed, and between all trying to get ahead. There are many new images that show the magnitude of this earthquake and it does not really compare to live it. Thank God my family and I are fine, nothing serious happened to us.
