I am sorry that I didn't reply earlier. Actually, apart from forum writing, I am not much of a site visitor. I hope some of the viewers on here will check this out soon.

The weather here in London is fairly good with cloud and some blue sky here and there, but almost a week ago, we all woke up to find ourselves in Switzerland!   The soft snow had gone by mid-afternoon though.

Some years ago, there was a heavier and more prolonged snowfall and this caused a lot of disruption to the Tube (Underground Train Service)  - like the Metro in Paris - and the Minister in charge of Transport complained that the train services were badly affected with blocked railway lines only because "it was the wrong kind of snow"!

Anyway, right or wrong, it was pretty to see the gardens and trees looking like a picture postcard, even for a few hours.
