Watching Lea

Hi Everyone,

I posted this on Leas website in the forum

I was about to watch DANGEROUS CURVES again today which is a film that Lea performed in. I didnt watch, torn between the thoughts it might be disrespectful toward her and it may be something she wouldnt mind.

Thought I'd post it here as well for some views on this.

Cheers

Styler

Re: Styler's question:   I think of Elvis Presley  - now Elvis has been dead for more than 29 years yet the constant playing of his songs and availability of his musical and semi-dramatic films mean it is almost like he has never been gone!

Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow" first shown in the movie "The Wizard of Oz" some 67 years ago is played year after year. The late Mario Lanza, Sinatra (his home-made films have been showing in London in a stage show that just ended its run), John Lennon, Bruce Lee  - several of these stars had untimely or unpleasant deaths long ago, yet they are still very popular because their work is often shown and indeed added to with outtakes and newly discovered footage.

Lea's work was entertainment too - modelling and movies. Marilyn Monroe died in strange circumstances many years ago yet her pictures adorn accessories and calendars and she inspires many actresses.

Lea was happy with her work I imagine most of the time and I cannot think that she would have wanted her fans to be deprived of her legacy of modelling and movie work or be ashamed of it in any way.

I know Lea was immensely touched when fans wanted to send cash to Prague to help her fight the cruel illness that struck her down and she would have certainly appreciated the outpouring of affection for her that followed her untimely death had she been able to know of this (maybe she does in spirit).

If Lea could reply, I am sure she would say "Go for it!"
